Rice has many nutritional benefits. Rice is a complex carbohydrate, which means that it gives us sustained energy instead of a quick burst, this makes it an ideal food to eat for Breakfast and Dinner, where we need to keep our bodies sustained. Brown rice also has a high percentage of fibre, which is good for the digestive system. Rice also has a lot of B vitamins, such as Thiamine and Niacin. These vitamins are very good for your digestive system, nervous system, muscle function, the flow of electrolytes in and out of nerve and muscle cells and carbohydrate metabolism (turning carbohydrates into energy).
